The purpose of WorkOptions.com (“Website,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is to equip career women and men with free content and affordable resources to successfully negotiate better terms at their current job. Work terms such as flexible work arrangements, longer maternity leave, or a short-term sabbatical are featured.
Achieving this purpose, and for other reasons stated below, requires collection of personal and non-personal information.
The good news? The Website exists to serve you, not snoop on you or spam you.

We collect information that Users and Customers provide via email to the Owner; via search queries on the Website search feature; via provided information when ordering a product through the Website; and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on this Website. We use the information collected to deliver the requested product and to provide you with information. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, and credit card information. Users may, however, visit our Website anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Website-related activities.

This Website may collect and use Users’ or Customers’ personal information for the following purposes:

- To share Customers’ experiences
With express agreement and written (email) permission of a particular Customer, we may post a Customer’s testimonial, with attribution, about the Website’s products or services.
- To improve the Website
We may use feedback you provide to improve our products and services. In addition, we may use some of the questions sent to us by Users or Customers, or asked of us via telephone or other means, to develop content for the Website. Likewise, we may use work-life situations shared with us in a similar manner. However, in these cases, all personal identifying information is stripped or modified to protect the privacy of the User or Customer.
- To process payments
We may use the information Users and Customers provide about themselves when placing an order only to provide service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service. To process orders of digital products found on the Website, we use the DPD shopping cart. The payment processing vendor we currently use through the shopping cart is Stripe. These vendors offer industry-standard security, encryption and fraud prevention systems.
- To send periodic emails
We may use the email address to send Customer information and updates pertaining to their product order. It may also be used to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. The Website currently does not have a newsletter or newsletter mailing list.
NOTE: We do not sell, trade, or rent Users or Customers personal identification information to others.
Like other commercial websites, this Website uses a standard technology called “cookies” and server logs to collect information about how our Website is used and to enhance User experience. The User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them.
Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our site, and the websites visited just before and just after this Website, and the IP address.
The Owner reserves the right to use technological equivalents of cookies, including social media pixels. These pixels allow social media sites to track visitors to outside websites so as to tailor advertising messages Users see while visiting that social media website. The Owner reserves the right to use these pixels in compliance with the policies of the various social media sites.

No Affiliate Programs
This Website is NOT a participant in any affiliate program nor has any affiliate links. (This disclosure is in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”)
If you choose to correspond with the Owner via email, she may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and the email responses. Correspondence is protected and kept confidential. As a matter of policy and practice, we do not sell, rent, lease or otherwise transfer any information collected whether automatically or through your voluntary action.

This Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age and no part of the Website is structured to attract anyone under 13. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
